I’m Kristi. I moved here 4 years ago to become Westobou’s executive director. Reggie is a competitive gymnastics coach and a vinyl DJ. We have a 10-year-old “boxador” named Bezel. We live in, what we refer to as, “The Tiny Tudor” in Olde Town, near downtown Augusta.
We love Olde Town’s close proximity to downtown and the Savannah River. It’s perfectly positioned to be an up and coming neighborhood – if it isn’t already.
We do this often. We start at the house and walk to Mellow Mushroom or Pizza Joint for a beer and a slice. Sometimes we slow down early and grab sushi at Sole.
Hands down the Bee’s Knees is our favorite spot for date night. The food is always great and the atmosphere is perfect. We enjoy Secret Record night too.

Realtor, Adelle Dennis of Rex Property & Land negotiated the sale on behalf of KHK Augusta, LLC, a private partnership dedicated to saving Augusta’s historic architectural treasures.
Prior to the sale, a permanent preservation easement which will be held by Historic Augusta, Inc. was placed on the property. Additionally, the new owners agreed to complete a renovation schedule prepared by Historic Augusta.
The Rice House was built by Patrick H. Rice in the 1890’s as his personal home. Rice was a well known Augusta citizen and Catholic Layman. He served on many local committees and was devoted to bettering Augusta’s communities. His home is a beautiful example of the popular Queen Anne style, equipped with a corner turret, second story gable porch, weatherboarding and wood shingles, overhanging gabled rooms, and an irregular floor plan.
The new owners are committed to restoring the house to its former glory and plan on making it their personal home, just as Patrick Rice did in the 1890’s. They will work together with Historic Augusta to ensure the key historic elements of this home is maintained throughout the restoration process. The sale and renovation work is another indication of the resurgence of the downtown Augusta historic district as a residential choice.
